Super Bowl Betting Odds: Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Spread, Super Bowl 57 Predictions & Key Match Info

super bowl odds

Sunday’s Super Bowl 57 will be one of the biggest games of 2023, featuring the 16-3 Kansas City Chiefs against the 16-3 Philadelphia Eagles.

The experts think it will be a close game, with the Eagles favored by only 1.5 points. That’s less than a field goal.

The line makes perfect sense as Philadelphia demoralized both opponents in the NFL Divisional Game and Championship Game. On the other hand, KC almost didn’t make it as they escaped with a narrow victory over the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game.

Now the AFC and NFC’s two best teams duke it over in Super Bowl with the spotlight on quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. With two explosive offenses going at it, Super Bowl LVII could be one of the greatest in history.

After tons of research on these odds, we’ve cherry-picked a few odds that you’re going to love. Check them out below.

Point spread:

Whether you think the Chiefs or the Eagles will win, both of these point spreads are great picks for Super Bowl 57.

Consider that only one Super Bowl in the prior 56 championship games had a game decided by one point. That was Super Bowl XXV, a 20-19 New York Giants victory over the Buffalo Bills.

If you think the Chiefs will win, getting 1.5 points at -110 is awesome because all they have to do is win straight up. With Mahomes and the NFL’s number one offense, they have a strong chance to win. If that’s how you feel, the Chiefs +1.5 at -110 is a steal.

On the flip side, if you think the Eagles win Super Bowl 57, chances are it’s by at least a field goal. In fact, Philadelphia’s two playoff games were decided by an average of 27.5 points. The Chiefs are amazing, but we think the Eagles are just slightly more amazing. We like the Eagles -1.5 at -110 as well.

First Quarter:

The regular season notwithstanding, looking at the two playoff games the Chiefs and Eagles played to get to this point gives us good data to work with. In the AFC Semifinals, the first quarter ended in a 7-7 tie between KC and Jacksonville. In the AFC Championship, the Chiefs ended the first up 3-0 on the Bengals.

For Philadelphia, they opened up the NFC Semifinals with a 14-0 lead over the NY Giants in the first quarter and led the SF 49ers 7-0 after the first in the NFC Championship. They’ve shut out three straight opponents in the first quarter, outscoring them 31-0.

Including their final game of the season and the playoffs, the Chiefs averaged 4.3 points per first quarter over their last three games. Over that same span, the Eagles have averaged 10.3 points in the first quarter. With that in mind, we like the Eagles -0.5 in the first quarter at +125

The Best of the Rest

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and running back Miles Sanders combined to score 24 rushing TDs this season. They scored three in the NFC Championship Game against the number-one defense in the NFL. BetMGM has a fun parlay of Hurts and Sanders scoring a TD each plus the Eagles winning. At +525, it’s a wild card, but we like it as a sleeper bet.

With Hurts in mind, the man had a total of 35 TDs. He scored multiple TDs in 11 out of the 17 games he started this season. With that in mind, the likelihood of him scoring at least two TDs is worth considering at +500. Hurts can score with his arm or legs making this another sleeper bet we think you should check out.

Lastly, with both teams fielding dynamic offenses, the Chiefs and Eagles should combine to score at least three TDs in the first half. We like this as a great value pick at -150.

The History between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles

The history between these two squads is slim, unfortunately, with only nine contests between them, with the Chiefs holding a 5-4 record.

What’s interesting is they played a game last season in Philadelphia in which Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs beat them 42-30. In fact, Mahomes was incredible, tossing five TD passes on the day. Three of them went to wide receiver Tyreek Hill who, unfortunately, is no longer with the Chiefs.

Philadelphia was also a different team back then as Hurts was still transitioning into the starting QB role and the defense wasn’t the second-best in the NFL as it was this season.

Why Is Betting on Super Bowl 57 Better Online?

Betting online is a different beast nowadays than it was when it started. For starters, the sheer safety of betting online has skyrocketed to the point that many online books are far more regulated and safer than in-person casinos.

You’re also faced with far more options and features than a standard casino. There are far more reasons to bet online, a few of which are listed below.

It’s Comfortable – Don’t you want to be as comfortable as possible if you decide to bet on Super Bowl 57? We thought so. With online betting, there is no reason to have to leave your house should you choose as you can have the entire betting platform at your disposal whether it’s on your laptop, desktop, or mobile device.

Thousands of Odds – Walk into an in-person casino, and they’ll usually have a sportsbook. However, what if the odds are too high or you don’t see any you like for the game you want to bet on? You can’t just ask the book to change them. No, you’ll have to physically go find another casino with different odds. With online books, you can browse several sites before finding the best odds all from your seat.

Variety – Just like different in-person casinos have their pros and cons, so do online books except there is way more variety in terms of betting. This is especially true when it comes to live betting and prop bets.

Best Chiefs vs Eagles Super Bowl Predictions

super bowl odds

This is going to be a spectacular Super Bowl. You’ve got the best offense in Kansas City going against the second-best defense in Philadelphia.

Except – the Eagles also have one of the best offenses in the NFL too, and the Chiefs’ defense isn’t too shabby either.

Chiefs vs Eagles: Offense, Offense, And Defense

Kansas City was ranked first in total yards per game (413.6) while the Eagles weren’t too far behind at third-best overall (389.1).

Where the teams start to distance themselves is on defense where the Chiefs were 11th in total yards allowed per contest (328.2) while the Eagles were second in the league (301.1).

The Chiefs’ offense was tops in the league in passing yards (297.8) and points scored per game (29.2).

For the Eagles, they were ninth in passing yards (241.5) but third in points scored (28.2). On defense, KC is 18th in passing yards allowed per game (220.9), and 16th in points allowed (21.7) while Philly ranked first in passing yards yielded and eighth in points allowed (20.2).

How the Kansas City Chiefs Can Win Super Bowl 57

It will take Mahomes’ magic to beat the well-rounded Eagles in Super Bowl 57. With that in mind, it’s completely doable for the best QB in the league plus one of the best offensive minds in head coach Andy Reid. Together, they have dominated the AFC West and are going for their second Super Bowl trophy in three years.

The best way for Mahomes to defeat Philadelphia is with trickery and for Reid to outcoach Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni. For his part, this will be Reid’s fourth trip to the Super Bowl, with a 1-2 record thus far. Sirianni will be making his first trip to the big game in only his second season as the Eagles’ head coach.

How the Philadelphia Eagles Can Win Super Bowl 57

Attack the Chiefs’ defense where it hurts and make Mahomes’ life miserable.

It’s no easy feat beating Mahomes and the Chiefs’ vaunted offense, but it can be done, and the Eagles have the perfect combination of defense and offense to get it done. KC led the league in yards per passing attempt, but the Eagles led in yards per passing attempt allowed.

Philadelphia’s defensive front is one of the best, if not, the best units in the NFL. KC’s offensive line is great, but they’re in for a nightmare of a time against Philly’s four guys up front.

They led the NFL with a staggering 70 sacks as a team, and with Mahomes’ still recovering from a high-ankle sprain, they’ll need to make him use his hobbled mobility to win the Lombardi Trophy.

The Eagle Pecks the Chief

super bowl odds

Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL when he’s 100% healthy. For Super Bowl 57, he won’t be as high-ankle sprains don’t heal fast. With him not being as effective on his feet, the Eagles will do what they’ve done best this season: go after the QB. They know Mahomes is hobbled and they’ll make him pay for it.

With Kansas City’s amazing offense being contained by Philadelphia’s dominant defense, we think the Eagles will fly away with Super Bowl 57 for their second Super Bowl win in franchise history.

Ready to Place Your Bets on Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadephia Eagles?

Like millions of other people, the Super Bowl is an exciting and fun way for you to make bets. Before you do, however, allow us a few final thoughts.

Our favorite value bet for Super Bowl 57 is for the Chiefs and Eagles to score more than 2.5 TDs in the first half at -150. The teams are ranked first and third in points scored per game and should be able to put up a combined three TDs with their electric offenses.

With the Eagles dominating the last three first quarters they’ve played, we like Philadelphia -0.5 in the first quarter at +125, as they tend to play very aggressively early on. Sticking with the Eagles, we think Hurts and Sanders scoring a TD plus the Eagles winning is worth looking at with +550 odds.

Finally, Hurts scoring multiple TDs at +500 is also a consideration as he scored twice or more in 11 of 17 starts this season.
