The Beat of Resistance Closing Reception

Join us and local musicians Mel Hsu and Muzikaldunk to celebrate the closing of The Beat of Resistance. This season, we present a musical exhibition showcasing the sounds of Asian America and focusing on beats-oriented music. The Beat of Resistance will help set the rhythm of moving bodies and movement bodies and get us ready for what promises to be a heavy 2020. Exhibiting artists include: Melissa Dunphy, Marwan Hawash, Rachel Ishikawa, Little Strike, No-No Boy, Lime Rickey International, Sami Rahman, REGO, Ushamami, SETI X, Jessie Wu, Year of the Ox.
This event is open and free to the public, but we kindly ask that you RSVP.
Asian Arts Initiative is designed as a mobility accessible facility, with access to all public floors and spaces, and seating accommodations for programmed events.
