It‚Äôs easiest to draw animals when they‚Äôre holding still. The Wagner’s immobile menagerie includes rapt raptors, flamboyantly feathered ducks, mice in various poses, hedgehogs and wild hogs, and monkeys and (skeleton) men. Meg Lemieur explores issues of justice and the relationship between nature and the human impact in her artwork. To start off the evening, a taxidermy red fox will be Meg‚Äôs model as she briefly demonstrates her process for drawing animals. You‚Äôll learn tips for measuring proportions on a model, how to draw an animal‚Äôs face, and how to render fur. Then, choose a museum creature to draw! Refreshments and Meg‚Äôs advice will be available throughout the evening. Registration includes a special Liberty Gin cocktail, and basic drawing materials will be provided.
