Grammy-nominated pianist Mark Livshits at Beth Sholom Synagogue

Beth Sholom Synagogue presents a performance by Grammy-nominated pianist Mark Livshits on Sunday, December 8 at 1 pm. Livshits will perform works related to David Hartt: The Histories (Le Mancenillier), the first artist commission to activate Beth Sholom’s Frank Lloyd Wright-designed National Historic Landmark.
Dr. Mark Livshits is one of the most highly sought-after soloists and chamber musicians in Philadelphia. He has collaborated with such renowned musicians as Leonidas Kovakos, Lynn Harrell, Christoph Eschenbach, Alisa Weilerstein, Measha Brueggergosman, Dave Brubeck and Michael Tilson Thomas. As a soloist, he has performed in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Verizon Hall, the Academy of Music, and internationally in concert at the Salzburg Festival, Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, and most recently with Deutsche Grammaphon artist, Violinist Ye-Eun Choi at the Bilbao Philharmonic Society in Spain. Dr. Livshits recently joined the faculty of Gwynedd Mercy University in addition to serving on faculty at the Philadelphia International Music Festival.
