Caesars Online Casino & Sportsbook Review, a PA Player’s Perspective

In this review, we’re taking a closer look at the Pennsylvanian version of the Caesars Casino & Sportsbook website and mobile app.

A quick promise: while most players tend to hop on board to big-name PA online casinos simply because they’re legal, we won’t be letting them off the hook so easily – and neither should you.

That said, we’re certainly willing to give respect where respect is due.

Caesars is one of the pioneering brands in the land, and you’ll find throughout our review that they’ve managed to translate their epic Vegas casino experience into online gambling fun.

Let’s go.

Caesars Online Casino: The Basics

When you hear the name Caesars, you probably think of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas: the Forum Shops, Evel Knievel jumps, and half a dozen other properties dominating gambling entertainment on The Strip.

To say they’re trying to recreate the Caesars experience online (in tandem with Harrah’s Philadelphia) would be a bit underhanded, but the history here is hard to ignore.

Just as Caesars offers one of the best Vegas sportsbooks, Caesars Pennsylvania Online offers one of the best PA sportsbooks online with a huge variety of bets and a superior in-game menu.

Unlike in some other states, Caesars PA also offers a full online casino experience, counting nearly 1,000 games, including online slots, table games, and a live dealer casino.

It’s rare that an online gambling site can punch equally strong across multiple verticals, but Caesars does just that, creating an overall casino and sports betting experience to live up to their reputation.

As you’ll see in this Caesars Casino review, this isn’t a mediocre PA casino that’s got a license and is just happy to be here – they want to roll with the big boys, and they’re doing precisely that.

Online Games & Sports Betting Options: 5/5

As mentioned, when providing nearly 1,000 online casino games, you’re already well ahead of the competition in this respect. Of all the legal Pennsylvania sportsbooks we’ve reviewed, this is the highest total, but it’s by no means a ‘quantity over quality’ thing.

All of the games at Caesars Online Casino are available to play for free in demo mode, even without an account. You’ll find all the top games providers here, with the most state-of-the-art online slots (over 800 of them), including Megaways games, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, and more.

On the table game side, as one might expect from a brick and mortar casino giant like Caesars, there is a live dealer heavy assortment of blackjack games, roulette, casino poker, and baccarat games. Infinite Blackjack stands out here for its innovative way to avoid waiting for a seat at a table.

As for the PA Caesars sportsbook, this is the rebranded acquisition of the legendary online William Hill sportsbook. The focus here is clearly on US sports, with competitive odds and an intuitive sportsbook that is equally easy to use whether you’re using a desktop computer or mobile phone.

Bonuses & Promos: 4.5/5

Players looking for a one-two punch first deposit bonus that covers both the casino and sportsbook, rejoice – there are above average offers on both verticals at Caesars Online Casino.

The casino bonus comes with a 100% up to $1,000 deposit match. Considering the average PA casino welcome bonus is around $500, we’re starting well here. Add on the fact that the playthrough is very reasonable, and suddenly, we’ve got a great proposition.

You might have heard of 35x, 40x, or even 50x wagering requirements for offshore casinos, but that nonsense stops here – at Caesars PA, the playthrough is just 5x on slot games, 10x on video poker games, and 25x for all other games (including live dealer games – a rarity).

On the Caesars Online Sportsbook side, a $500 free bet (minimum odds of -200) is a great way to start off. This is double of a lot of the competitors, and we love that it can be laid on parlays as well.

Beyond this, there is a bit of a drop-off as far as promos for existing players go. The ‘Risk-Free Thursdays’ and $5,000 monthly slot provider giveaways are a good start, but we would’ve like to see a bit more variety here to reward consistent players.

Having Pennsylvania-specific bonuses would also be a nice touch, especially in the sportsbook section, with so many major league teams in action.

Caesars Casino Loyalty Program: 5/5

OK, so we were a bit critical of Caesars Online Casino Pennsylvania for not offering unique and consistent bonuses, but we can’t ignore the fact they’ve integrated their online casino reward scheme into their legendary Caesars Rewards program.

This is a huge win.

Being able to convert loyalty points into hotel stays, dining, entertainment, golf, and shopping experiences is a unique selling point that can’t be offered by many online casinos in Pennsylvania.

It’s refreshing that casual players have something a bit more appealing to work towards besides cashing a $5 free bet chip or facing a monthly VIP tier drop.

All your earned points can be used towards 40 Caesars Rewards resorts and casinos, including Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino.

PA Caesars Casino App & Mobile Gaming: 4.9/5

Mobile bettors can’t go wrong here, as you’ll find one of the best mobile casino apps in the industry, no matter whether you’re using Android or iOS.

Unlike a lot of the other apps that almost feel half-finished, with the Caesars online casino app you get basically the same experience as the desktop version. This means access to all the games, promos, player account section, and even the live chat help.

This isn’t just about game selection, though. The whole interface is smooth – almost as if it was a native app that wasn’t built around a website.

What really stood out for us was the simplified, lag-free live betting function, perfect for sports fans wanting on-the-fly action. Watching the game at the bar and finding props on their super simple and intuitive menu is a cinch.

User Experience: 4.8/5

We’ve got no complaints about the interface. This is a serious, big-league online casino provider, so we don’t expect the cartoon mascots, animated loyalty points windows, and almost surreal atmosphere of some of the offshore casinos.

The slick black, white, and gold website means business.

In the casino section, we would have preferred to see more menus than just slots, table games, and live dealer games, though. Unless you’re seeking out a specific game in the search bar, scrolling through to find fun new games can be a bit clunky.

That said, this understated and basic design works perfectly for Caesars Online Sportsbook and finding sports betting lines. And with American sports dominating and not being clogged with fringe competitions like semi-professional ping pong, it’s a pleasure to use.

All in all: Caesars knows their audience and they aim to please.

Deposits and Withdrawals: 4.3/5

We weren’t blown away by the deposit methods selection at Caesars Online Casino, but it’s hard for legal PA casinos regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to compete with offshore casinos that can offer every unregulated payment method in the book, including crypto.

For Pennsylvania casino players, this is about as good as it gets, though. You can deposit with Visa, Mastercard, bank wire, online bank transfer, PayPal, and Neteller.

We also liked the addition of PayNearMe, which allows players to deposit money at any local 7-Eleven.

Withdrawals (min $20) are given the old ‘within 48 hours’ treatment. No bold promises, just standard procedure here. It’s a shame we can’t crown them as a fast payout casino, but we’re also not worried about the speed, as this is slightly better than industry average.

Options for withdrawals include bank transfer, check, and casino cash cage.

Alternatives to Caesars Online Casino PA

1. BetMGM

Another heavy hitter with a big reputation from Las Vegas. Like Caesars Casino, they offer a very solid game menu totaling almost 700, only here they’ve got a greater variety of game providers. If you’re a veteran looking to try out more diverse games, this could be a perfect option.

What really sets BetMGM apart from Caesars, though, is the availability of one of Pennsylvania’s best online poker rooms. They’ve got both cash traffic and a series of GTD tournaments with great prize pools.

They also run poker fests with hundreds and thousands of dollars in guaranteed prizes.

2. BetRivers

This online casino has ‘only’ 250 games, which are heavily weighted toward online slots. Moreover, they tend to stumble out of the gate with a relatively low $250 first deposit match.

We think this plays well, though, for two reasons: First of all, very few of us are making first deposits over $250, and second – it’s got the lowest (1x) playthrough in the business.

Casual players looking for a crack at an easy bonus will be right at home here.

Their competitive sportsbook with unique promotions specific to Pennsylvania sports (including offers to people attending the games in person) is also a huge strength, meaning this is a great casino site for PA sports fans who like the odd casino experience.

3. Fox Bet

Another legal online sports betting site in Pennsylvania backed up by a fortress-like reputation.

Fox Bet stands out as having a slick, modern interface that breaks down casino games more clearly for players. They’re particularly focused on new games, which is great for experienced players looking for new fun.

Speaking of new fun, they’ve also got a large original games menu in conjunction with Pokerstars, which is a unique selling point you won’t find at other PA casinos online.

They’ve also got daily slot leaderboards, blackjack cashback, and free spins chests that can be opened for wagering just $1 every day.

4. Barstool

The online sports world’s most popular blog site combines forces with the Hollywood Casino to bring you this up and comer – who just can’t help but outdo their competition by offering a $251 deposit bonus ($1 more than the average!) over your first two deposits.

Aside from this, first-time depositors of over $50 can get vouchers for the Barstool Sports Store for all sorts of modern, meme-inspired sportswear featuring Pennsylvania’s top teams.

There’s a very good selection of games here, though keep in mind there won’t be a great selection for their mobile app, which is far inferior to Caesars Casino. Mobile bettors, beware.

Caesars Online Casino Review: Final Verdict for PA Players

It’s clear from our Caesars Online Casino review that they’re not just content putting out a legal casino in Pennsylvania and sitting back on their laurels.

The stiff competition mentioned above, particularly by BetMGM and BetRivers has forced them to go beyond – by offering the highest total casino game count of all the casinos we looked at, a top of the line first deposit bonus of $1,000, and arguably the best gambling app in the country.

Both casino players and sports bettors not only receive their own respective deposit bonuses, but their reward points go into the same pool – which feeds a second-to-none loyalty program that has been taking care of Las Vegas’ elite for decades.

Players are in great hands here.
